Melania Trump, 48, and the rest of Donald Trump‘s, 72, family members enjoyed a night of partying with fellow politicians and celebrities on New Year’s Eve at the President’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. The First Lady only shared one selfie from her evening, but failed to flaunt her outfit on Instagram. However, fellow eventgoers who met Melania during the celebrations have since shared some snaps on social media, showing the President’s wife’s fabulous outfit – but there was something she did differently with her New Year’s Eve style this year.
Most years on New Year’s Eve, Melania tends to wear a pink ensemble – but this time she chose to veer from tradition.
There weren’t any official photos of Donald Trump’s wife from the big bash, but some fellow partygoers have since shared snaps of their own from the party, revealing a glimpse at Melania’s dazzling outfit.
Hours before sharing her New Year’s Eve selfie in her dressing gown, Melania was dressed up to the nines in a shimmering black gown with a deep v-neck for the annual party at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.
The mother of one usually wears pink to mark the start of a new year, but this year she chose to ditch the tradition – perhaps because her husband Donald wasn’t by her side for the celebrations.
Brazilian model and wife of Paolo Zampolli Amanda Ungaro shared a photo on Instagram with Melania to her 2,000 followers, giving fans a closer look at her formal attire.
Melania’s dress was a long-sleeved number adorned with shimmering sequins.
It cinched at the waist to highlight her toned figure, and the plunging neckline showed off her sun-kissed skin.
The First Lady looked incredible at the event, with her honey-blonde locks curled into big waves.
As always, she rocked heavily-lined eye makeup but switched up the colour on her lips.
Usually one to wear nude lipstick shades, Melania instead opted for a dark pink pout.
Last year on New Year’s Eve, Melania continued with her pink theme, wearing a £3,675 ($5,5000) Erdem dress.
The stunning gown was another sparkling number, adorned with flowers and puffed sleeves.
The year before she wore a black Dolce and Gabbana dress with bow detailing on the straps and a very low neckline.
With its length reaching just below her knees, the figure-hugging midi was a much more daring outfit for the First Lady.
Melania has come a long way with her fashion credentials since marrying Donald Trump, sparking her pink New Year theme in 2002 when she wore a revealing silky gown which featured a racy thigh split.
However, her most recent New Year outfit was a much more demure ensemble and the First Lady racked up hundreds of compliments on her sparkly look.
“Love our gorgeous First Lady!” one person commented on Amanda’s photo, while another said: “Beautiful ladies! So proud of our FLOTUS in that she has class.”
“Sophisticated and classy,” replied another fan.
Hours later, Melania shared her first selfie since 2017 after changing into her dressing gown at the end of the night.
Donald Trump’s wife appeared to be in high spirits for the snap, which she posed for alongside her son Barron Trump, 12.
Melania captioned the upload: “Wishing everyone a happy, healthy, peaceful and prosperous New Year!”
