Melania Trump, married to US President Donald Trump, 72, has numerous duties as First Lady of the US. Her most recent visit was to Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, Virginia, USA where she met with service members and their families in photos that have only emerged today. Yesterday’s trip came before she sat down for an intimate interview with Fox news last night, revealing insights into her marriage, the President and her past. In Virginia, the former model opted for a sleek and stylish look of all black, wrapping up against the cold.
Melania wore skintight leather trousers for the outing which she teamed with chunky black leather boots.
To keep warm, Donald’s wife layered up with a buttoned black jacket which tapered in at the waist.
The mother-of-one also donned a plain black hat in several photographs as she kept out the chill.
She was also spotted wearing black leather gloves, completing the chic look.
Melania’s hair fell in casual waves about her shoulders as she toured the base.
Twitter users have speculated that the First Lady has recently dyed her hair blonde.
“Umm Melania went blonde all of a sudden?” one posted, while another added: “Be blonde.”
Melania took to Twitter following the visit and posted: “An incredible day spending time with our men and women in uniform on USS George H.W. Bush. Thank you for your sacrifice & service! #USA.”
After the Langley visit, Melania Trump spoke to Fox news anchor Sean Hannity, 58, to discuss her time so far as First Lady as well as behind-the-scenes secrets about the White House.
Melania met Donald in New York, and, speaking of their early relationship, she said: “We had a great chemistry when we met in 1998 and we started dating and we dated for a long time before we got married and we got married, we had a son but we had a great chemistry from the day one.
“It’s incredible, especially when you think about your life, where you were born and all the steps you took. I took a lot of steps, it’s not just like you end up here.
“You learn a lot on the way here and in my business, in fashion business, it’s a tough business as well and here the politics as well, it’s a tough business, and you need to have very thick skin (sic).”
Body language expert Judi James analysed Melania’s interview, revealing her expert thoughts and suggesting the First Lady showed signs of “anxiety” during the chat, despite wanting to come across as confident.
“Her features are beautiful but relatively static, meaning it’s the smaller details that might give a more telling understanding of her inner emotions,” said Judi.
“There did appear to be subtle signs of tension about the interview in the way that she took several deep breaths before and during the chat.
“She seemed to overcome this by changing her body language state slightly, pulling her shoulders up and raising her chin to suggest confidence.”
Melania also apparently showed signs of anxiety as she prepared for each new question, hinting that she may be conscious of saying the ‘right’ thing.
