Mick and his wife Linda Carter (played by Kellie Bright) have become a favourite for plenty of EastEnders fans.
However, some may have fears that Mick could be thinking about leaving Walford behind.
Following a tumultuous few months at the hands of Stuart Highway (Ricky Champ) and a spell in prison, Mick is feeling really low on the BBC soap.
But Danny has now said whether he intends to stay as part of the programme.
The good news for fans is that when it comes down to the actor, he has every intention of staying in his role.
He made the admission in a Q&A video posted on the show’s Twitter account.
Danny said: ”I ain’t goin’ nowhere.
“Unfortunately, it’s not really my decision to make. It’s the powers that be,” he went on to add.
“As long as they want Mick around, and as long as Mick’s involved in storylines that are inspiring and stuff that I really enjoy playing, and I’ve got my Carter little mob around me, I ain’t goin’ nowhere, baby!
“It’s a great job, very grateful for it! As long as they want me, I’m here!”
Danny has starred as Mick in the soap since 2013.
Last night’s episode saw some upsetting scenes unfold as Mick’s mental anguish manifested into self harm.
He’s been pushing his loved ones away as he’s struggled to cope after his prison ordeal.
Linda has been trying to get the landlord to help her in the bar but Mick was reluctant.
In an attempt to coax him down, Linda went upstairs to have a word with her husband.
However, she found him in quite a sad state.
Mick was sitting on the floor with a bloody hand as he had been punching the wall, resulting in injury.
Linda was upset to see Mick in such a way and asked him what he had done to himself.
Hopefully Mick will be able to get help for his issues and focus on his recovery, but viewers will have to wait and see.
EastEnders continues tomorrow at 7.30pm on BBC One.
