Crown Princess Mary put on a stylish display yesterday when she arrived in Latvia for an official visit.
The 46-year-old royal and her husband Crown Prince Frederik, who turned 50 this year, stepped out for an official welcoming ceremony at the Riga Palace, in Latvia.
The royal couple, who got married in 2004, were welcomed by Latvia’s President Raimonds Vējonis, 52, and First Lady Iveta Vējone, 52 on the grey rainy day.
The Danish princess, who is often compared to our very own Kate Middleton, 36, for her natural beauty and bouncy brunette locks, channeled 1960s fashion icon Jackie Kennedy for the event.
She wore a pretty pink coat dress with a belt in the same colour that cinched in at the waist.
The round-neck number, which was a popular style in the sixties, was embellished with pink and silver beads throughout.
Her Royal Highness added a coordinating pillbox hat in a nod to the famous American First Lady, who regularly wore this type of hat.
Wearing her dark tresses in a side parting the chic hat sat on top of her hair which was styled in an a half up half down hairstyle.
Elegant make-up in a palette of pink hues and simple pearl earrings complimented her ensemble and matching pink leather gloves completed this iconic look.
Following the ceremony the two couples took part in a wreath laying ceremony at the Monument of Freedom in Riga, the capital of Latvia.
Later Princess Mary and Frederik of Denmark attended a book donation at the People’s Bookshelf in the National Library.
